Last Wednesday June 3rd 2015 took place in Uvero Alto beach el «picazo» (groundbreaking) that starts the construction of the 6th Grupo Invercan’s hotel in Dominican Republic.
The new resort will be named Hotel Onyx Punta Cana and it will have 502 rooms, as well as luxury suites, tennis courts, casino, spa, amphitheater and Teen’s Club.
The Hotel Now Onyx Punta Cana will be placed near the Breathless Punta Cana; which also belongs to the group and was opened in October 2013. However, the Hotel Now Onyx Punta Cana will be directed towards families and as usual will provide a wide offer of luxury all-inclusive.
Its opening is planned to be in November 2016.
The groundbreaking event was headed by the Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina and the Grupo Invercan’s chairman Enrique Martinón. They were joined by different ministers as well as some dignitaries of the group and the tourism sector.
After the groundbreaking, the guests could enjoy a gala dinner at Breathless Resorts & Spa with the Gilberto Santa Rosa concert.
